Client Service Representative at VCA Five Points Animal Hospital
We are seeking a Client Service Representative to join our team.
At Five Points Animal Hospital, we take our mission statement – your pet’s health is our top priority and excellent service is our goal – very seriously. And although we take our job seriously, we don't necessarily take ourselves that seriously. In other words, we have fun at what we do! With every opportunity, we aim to exceed each pet owner’s expectations.
We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” to join us in delivering our mission to our clients and their pets. This position is both challenging and rewarding and no two days are exactly the same. If the thought of helping people with pets sounds enticing, this may be the job for you!
Why We Need You
As the face of Five Points Animal Hospital, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:
• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
Why You'll Love It
This job is both intellectual challenging and interesting. No two days are exactly the same. One day can be full of puppies and kittens and the next can be back to back to back emergencies. We don't hire clock watchers. Who has time to watch the clock when there are so many other things to do? If you want to make a difference and feel a sense of accomplishment rather than just punching a time card, this job may be for you. If you like intellectual stimulation and helping people care for their pets, this job may be for you. If you like to work hard, this job may be for you.
This is a part-time position and candidates can expect to work 20-25 hours per week. We need someone who has some flexibility with their schedule, as shifts could be daylight, evening, and weekends. (We rotate so not everyone has to work every weekend.) If you have another part-time job, we will try to work your other schedule.
