The Difference You Make:

The Client Service Associate (CSA) is a sales support role within the Business Administration Department of Santander Investments, LLC. The CSA promotes and supports the Financial Advisor (FA) and the Bank’s clients with the administrative and service functions of the business. As a team, the CSAs collectively assure adequate support to the Firm’s top producing FAs. The CSA Team supports each other and interacts with branch and home office associates as well as clients. A successful CSA understands and excels in all systems and processes as well as policies and procedures and is a great asset to their FA partners.  A CSA candidate should have sales experience since they are frequently tasked with working with clients encouraging a positive customer experience environment. Respect for the client, both our internal partners and external Bank clients is paramount and central to the role. The ability to communicate effectively and efficiency is critical to the role. Through the assistance of a CSA partner, an FA can increase their sales production and simultaneously service their clients effectively.

  • Provides infrastructure support to several Financial Advisors (FAs)
  • Driven to provide superior service for both internal and external clients
  • Creates internal partnerships with other functional support groups, as well as partnerships with external business partners for the products and services they provide
  • Works independently as well as in a team environment
  • Applies industry knowledge and problem-solving skills within the framework of the role
  • Handles customer requests, inquiries and service needs
  • Manages the Financial Advisors’ calendars, including scheduling appointments
  • Provides administrative support including faxing, scanning, uploading documents, and data entry
  • Be the subject matter expert in all systems that support the business line
  • Identifies additional opportunities to help clients through research, reports and reviews of existing clients as well as prospects
  • Collaborates with the FA regularly regarding the needs of the existing client base
  • Assists FAs with growing their business and accomplishing specific sales goals

  • Associate's Degree; in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, Communications or Equivalent field, or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years; Experience in customer service, sales related occupations

  • Ability to work independently and set appropriate priorities to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Database record maintenance and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation skills and writing ability
  • Maintains appropriate investment licensing
  • Preparation and presentation of materials
  • Self-motivator and creative thinker
  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills with ability to measure program performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Strong knowledge of sales support and effective sales enhancement techniques within the industry
  • Thorough knowledge of departmental and bank products and services
  • Creates a good working environment in the team; works towards shared goals contributing ideas and accepting change
  • Provides assistance and coaches less experienced team members
  • Organizes and prioritizes workload and tasks for oneself and team members
  • Actively plans for routine and cyclical work
  • Probes in-depth to understand the customer’s business needs
  • Explores and understands the customer's alternatives and decision criteria
  • Uses information and data effectively to support a position and present a rational case

Certifications:

  • NASD licenses Series 7, 65 & 63 or 66 - Required.

  • Appropriate state insurance licenses - Required.

It Would Be Nice For You To Have:

  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$50,625.00 USD

Maximum:

$85,000.00 USD
