We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Mercer. This role can be based in Los Angeles, Irvine, San Francisco, Denver, Portland, or Seattle and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
As a Client Project Consulting Associate – Health & Benefits, you will be a key contributor and focus on conducting client-based project work related to requests for proposals. Within this role, you will be facilitating the interaction among key stakeholders, overseeing the analysis of the RFP results and producing a compelling story from the data collected. You will collaborate with both internal and external contacts to remain on schedule, resolve issues and enhance the overall experience and value that Mercer brings to its clients.
We will count on you to:
- Perform critical client functions, including: evaluating risks; developing solutions; articulating impact of options; leveraging prepared analytics and making recommendations to client teams
- Coordinating the efforts of RFP multiple project teams
- Serve as a key contact for day-to-day needs and answers standard client questions to improve the client experience
- Work closely with external and internal partners to capture feedback and create resolutions to issues that translate into overall process enhancements
- Manage and record all activities in the workflow system to ensure timely follow up by client, carriers, client team and delivery of final work product
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 1-3 years of client services experience in insurance or consulting
- Excellent project management experience
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Effective relationship-building and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
- An active Health Producers license or be willing and able to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Proficient in MS Office Suite

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $68,500 to $137,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
