Job Description
The purpose of the role is as follows:
To act as a strategic enabler, connecting business, clients, and data and analytics to unlock actionable insights through gathering, analysing, and interpreting client data. The role informs business strategies, enhances client experience, and drives sustainable growth. It is embedded within the front office, and partners closely with Relationship Managers, Sales, Structuring, and Product teams to identify high-impact business challenges and supports the adoption of data-driven solutions.
Are you someone who can:
- Develop client segmentation and profiling analytics based on segment, sector, and product to translate complex data outputs into commercially relevant insights tailored to Corporate, Sponsor, and Institutional clients.
- Facilitate client insights into strategic planning, client coverage models and product development.
- Prepare and present strategic client insight reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with front-office stakeholders including Heads of Trading, Sales, Structured Solutions, Research and Product teams to identify opportunities where analytics can enhance client coverage, product penetration, and wallet share.
- Define and prioritize high-impact analytics use cases aligned with business objectives, including revenue and cross-sell analytics to identify high-value opportunities across products and regions, and measure share-of-wallet.
- Develop narratives using data to support client pitches, market updates, and strategic reviews, leveraging product mix and usage analysis to inform product strategy and tailor content.
- Partner with Data and Analytics team to shape fit-for-purpose solutions, including pricing and profitability analytics that model PnL and margin contributions by client, product, and trade type to guide pricing and portfolio allocation.
- Leverage BI tools and dashboard to monitor the impact of initiatives on client outcomes and business performance, ensuring insights are actionable and relevant.
- Act as the liaison between Data and Analytics team and front-office, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment, while driving a culture shift towards data-driven decision-making.
- Build and establish strong internal relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead a high-performing team by fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration across the team.
- Drive a culture of innovation by challenging conventional thinking to enhance actionable business and client insights that support the achievement of strategic objectives and stretch performance targets.
You will be an ideal candidate if you have the following:
- 8 to 10 years’ experience in client-facing, client strategy, client insights, or sales enablement within financial services.
- Hands on experience working on data-driven projects in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in customer segmentation, predictive modelling or market research.
- Strong understanding of financial products, market dynamics, and client segmentation (i.e., Corporate, Sponsor, Institutional).
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
- Understanding of Global Markets in Corporate and Investment Bank.
