We are seeking a highly analytical and systems-oriented Client Finance & Sales Support Associate/Analyst to provide junior-level operational and analytical support between Finance, Client Partnerships, and New Business teams. This role blends technical Sales Ops support with deep financial analysis, ensuring revenue accuracy, CRM data integrity, and operational efficiency across the opportunity lifecycle. This position contributes to Salesforce administration support, pipeline governance, financial forecasting, pricing validation, billing reconciliation, and revenue reporting under the guidance of Senior Client Finance Analysts and Finance leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in a data-driven environment, understands financial controls, and can translate complex data into actionable business insights.
This is a mid-level support role focused on execution, data integrity, and reporting that supports Senior Client Finance Analysts and Finance leadership in client decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Technical CRM Support
- Support Salesforce data integrity, governance, and audit processes (opportunities, contracts, pricing, revenue fields, close dates, forecasting categories) across multiple industry verticals and portfolios, executing updates and checks defined by senior finance and sales operations leaders.
- Perform regular CRM audits and reconcile Salesforce data against ERP, billing, and financial systems, escalating discrepancies to Senior Client Finance Analysts or Finance leadership as needed.
- Support pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and sales performance reporting by preparing underlying data, running standard reports, and flagging variances for review.
- Assist in building and maintaining Salesforce dashboards, reports, and data validation workflows.
- Partner with Client Partnership/New Business teams to improve CRM adoption, data hygiene, and process compliance by providing timely data updates, basic training support, and clear documentation of standard processes.
- Assist with portfolio alignment, budget/target to actuals tracking, and commission data validation.
- Support deal desk activities, including pricing approvals, margin review, contract financial validation, and review of all required fields are correctly updated, preparing draft analyses and documentation for senior review.
Finance & Revenue Management
- Support Client Finance with revenue forecasting and financial modeling at various dimensions as necessary, preparing draft models and reports for review by Senior Client Finance Analysts and Finance leadership.
- Support Client Finance and partner with Client Partnership as necessary on monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue projections by compiling data, updating forecast templates, and summarizing key variances.
- Assist with revenue recognition support and contract review to ensure financial compliance, escalating complex issues to senior team members.
- Support Client Finance with preparing client-level profitability analysis and margin reporting by assembling data sets, updating standard templates, and drafting initial insights for senior review.
- Support Client Finance with invoicing accuracy, billing reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
- Support Client Finance with analyzing pricing structures and discount trends to ensure margin optimization, providing detailed data extracts and trend summaries for decision-makers.
- Support Client Finance with commission calculations and incentive compensation validation.
- Support Client Finance with month-end close activities and ad hoc financial analysis by completing assigned schedules, reconciliations, and standard reporting under direction from Senior Client Finance Analysts or Finance leadership.
Note: This role does not own client relationships or lead client-facing financial meetings; it supports Client Leads and Senior Client Finance Analysts with data, reporting, and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Financial Analysis, or a hybrid finance/sales support role (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce reporting, CRM data governance, and process optimization with a strong interest in further developing these skills.
- Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, lookups, scenario analysis).
- Experience working with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Strong understanding of revenue forecasting, pricing strategy, and financial controls.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and identify discrepancies across systems.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills and ability to prepare clear, accurate reporting and visuals for senior reviewers.
