Job Title: Client Engineer II

Overview

The role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of client device solutions within the organization. This role requires solid experience with mobile device management (MDM) platforms, particularly JAMF and Intune, as well as familiarity with advanced troubleshooting and scripting. This role works collaboratively with technical teams to help ensure secure, scalable client environments. The role involves contributing to Device Trust frameworks, Azure cloud services, and conditional access policies, supporting secure and compliant device connectivity. Exposure to automation processes is beneficial, with opportunities to assist in enhancing device management and security practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of MDM solutions, focusing on JAMF and Intune, to support device management and security.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of client device policies that meet organizational requirements and best practices, including supporting Device Trust frameworks.
  • Create and maintain scripts to automate routine device management tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and help resolve technical challenges, including supporting Azure-based conditional access controls.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and team meetings, assisting colleagues and learning from more senior engineers.
  • Support the continuous improvement of client engineering practices, with a focus on expanding automation and efficiency standards.
  • Manage escalations from End User Service’s team that require advanced troubleshooting and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with MDM solutions, especially JAMF and Intune.
  • Working knowledge of macOS, Windows, and Mobile OS’s.
  • Advanced skillsets surrounding Windows, macOS, Android, and IOS devices.
  • In-depth proficiency with advanced configuration and troubleshooting of Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS platforms.
  • Experience with deploying and managing OS-level security controls, including encryption, endpoint protection, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Expertise in integrating OS platforms with identity and access management (IAM) solutions and conditional access policies.
  • Advanced scripting and automation for OS deployment, configuration, and compliance enforcement using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Ability to diagnose, resolve, and document complex OS interoperability issues in cross-platform environments.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise mobility management (EMM) and mobile application management (MAM) strategies for diverse device ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python, with interest in developing automation scripts.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience contributing to technical teams and collaborating on projects.
  • Experience supporting Device Trust solutions, including the use of certificates and secure device identity verification.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including assisting with configuration and maintenance of conditional access policies.
  • Background in deploying automation solutions, with a willingness to learn about AI technologies to enhance device management, compliance, and security operations.
