Purpose of the Role
Reporting into the Client Partner, this is a key leadership role responsible for the running of the consumer tech line of business. The role leads end‑to‑end media planning across UK and EMEA with a strong digital focus, managing stakeholders and aligning work with both local and Global teams. The Client Director sets the account’s strategic direction, translates client priorities into clear plans, stays ahead of tech and AI developments, and ensures strong delivery, high satisfaction, and profitability while working closely with investment and analytics teams.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight: Oversee all Consumer workstreams, ensuring high‑quality delivery, clear stakeholder management, and effective mobilisation of Dentsu resources.
Client Service & Relationships: Deliver outstanding client service, define the contact strategy with senior leads, act as a trusted advisor, and support the client’s business development priorities.
Performance, Quality & Financial Management: Monitor delivery performance, quality of work, TRR and profitability; ensure accurate forecasting and financial processes with clear resolution plans when needed.
Strategic Planning & Decision Making: Lead planning across markets, audiences, and channels using data, insight, and market context; challenge assumptions and maximise business impact.
Scenario Planning & Recommendations: Drive proactive scenario planning budget, channel mix, contingencies
People, Partners & Growth: Develop direct reports with clear objectives, build strong supplier partnerships, support agency new business, and manage day‑to‑day resourcing and prioritisation.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration: Engages effectively with internal teams, specialists, senior stakeholders, and direct reports to drive seamless delivery.
External Relationship Building: Builds strong, productive relationships with media owners and strategic partners to enhance planning and execution.
Emotional Intelligence & Client Insight: Anticipates client needs, resolves concerns quickly, and acts as a trusted “client whisperer” with strong EQ.
Business & Category Expertise: Demonstrates deep understanding of Dentsu and Microsoft’s business, reflected clearly in planning, strategy, and recommendations.
Advanced Planning & Scenario Capability: Connects business objectives to audience insight and channel roles, presenting clear, measurable plans and leading multi‑market scenario planning and trade‑off decisions.
Experience & Media Expertise: Extensive media experience including team leadership, multistakeholder management, and expertise across all channels with strong digital focus.

The team is based in our London office but operates under flexible working arrangements. The team are currently in the office every Tuesday and Thursday.
