Who we are looking for

The role of the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Global Communications is responsible for working across Client & Executive Communications in conjunctions with the Global Communications team (PR, Social Media, Internal Communications) reporting to the Managing Director of Client and Executive Communications. The AVP, Client Communications will be responsible for the development, integration and implementation of a broad range of communications relative to our clients and client facing teams, including core message development, incident/crisis management and communications planning. Looking for a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communications and experience in project management. The AVP will also support the Global Communications team with content creation, assisting with the development and implementation of communication strategies and plans, coordinate metrics, and provide support on a regular cadence of communications.

What you will be responsible for

As Client Communications, AVP you will

  • Drafting and editing various external communications (including social media), as well as supporting the development of presentation and reports.

  • Assisting in developing and implementing communication plans.

  • Research and analyze data. Responsible for helping to report key metrics across all external communications.

  • Collaborate with Marketing on key campaigns to ensure consistency of messaging across all channels.

  • Promote, enhance, and protect State Street’s overall brand and value proposition with clients and enable client teams to do the same.

  • Serve as communications consultant for sales and client facing teams

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

  • Estimate the resources, timescales and participants needed to achieve project goals.

  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field is required

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing and/or communications

  • Successful writing and editing experience within a variety of media for varied audiences
