Client Accountant (GOS)

Job Description Summary

This is an accounting/accounts payable position that performs various accounts payable tasks and some basic accounting tasks according to standard operating procedures. These tasks include processing invoices, cash receipts and/or time cards and assisting with the creation of accrual schedules. The position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager leading the Accounts Payable team.

Responsibilities

Prioritize and maintain organization of a high volume work load.

Perform invoice review, validation, coding and submission to ensure timely payment to venders.  This includes applying proper internal controls and obtaining approval for vendor invoice processing.

Communicate with venders and Facility Managers by telephone or email to obtain outstanding requirements and resolve escalated Accounts Payable issues.

Respond to vender, client and staff requests for account information.

May support others with accrual, audit or reconciliation functions.

Use Yardi for a variety of report generation to support account finance.

Perform special projects as assigned by senior account management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

1+ years relevant accounting experience preferred.

Or any similar combination of education and experience.

Prior experience with accounting or database software packages, experience with YARDI is a plus.

Basic knowledge of commercial real estate preferred.

Computer literate, including knowledge of word processing (Word), email (Outlook) and spreadsheets (Excel).

Ability to use a 10 Key computer board.

Effective and efficient time management skills.

Detail oriented and thorough.

Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.

Strong interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and team approach to work.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 46,750.00 - $55,000.00
