About the role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join The Salvation Army Rockdale Corps. This role is an important part of our ministry, helping to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our kitchen, café, bathrooms, foyer, office, worship hall, and meeting rooms. Through this work, you will support the wellbeing and dignity of all who come through our doors, reflecting our Christian values and mission.

This is a part time (8 hours a week role) based in Rockdale, NSW.

How you will make an impact

  • Maintain clean and hygienic floors and entryways
  • Clean and care for shared spaces, surfaces, and windows
  • Sanitise high-touch areas
  • Clean bathrooms and restock supplies
  • Empty bins and manage waste
  • Dust and maintain general tidiness
  • Report maintenance issues promptly
  • Use and store cleaning products safely (MSDS compliant)
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies

What you will bring

  • Previous cleaning experience (preferred)
  • Understanding of cleaning practices and hygiene standards
  • Awareness of safe chemical handling (MSDS)
  • Good physical fitness and energy to meet the demands of the role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
