Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Discover Impactful Work:

In the role of Clean Room Operator I, you will help with manufacturing, assembly, and packaging of Bioprocess Containers inside a clean room. Your tasks include following Standard Operating Procedures, detailed instructions, and drawings for assembly, handling materials, operating equipment, and packaging the final products.

A day in the Life:

  • Work safely following all safety requirements
  • Work carefully, adhering to work instruction documents and standard operating procedures
  • Bring your sharp attention to detail to build products while adhering closely to guidelines, blueprints, and drawings
  • Record correct and accurate documentation in Production Control Documents
  • Inspect in-process and finished products as well as package and pull from archives for product sampling.
  • Help us get better by actively participating in our PPI (Practical Process Improvements), Lean and Continuous Improvement activities including 5S activities
  • Help our team to do better by assisting in training co-workers for success!
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • No previous experience required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • All employees are required to read and act on instructions both written and oral
  • Up to 6 months of work experience in manufacturing/production is prferred
  • Clean room experience is a plus!
  • Strong focus on detail consistent with extreme quality standards
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; adept at working well with various functional groups
  • Ability to infrequently lift and manipulate up to 40 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to stand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
  • Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene, including labels and SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
  • Flexibility/willingness to adapt to operational needs
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Capacity to operate optimally in a fast paced controlled cleanroom setting with additional overtime as vital

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
  • Regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions as well as moving mechanical parts.
  • Specific gowning is required; including gloves, hair & beard net, sterile face cover, safety glasses with no makeup/jewelry, and the like
