Clean Room Maintenance Technician

The Clean Room Maintenance Technician will report to the Facilities Manager to support the cleanroom medical device manufacturing operations of the LivaNova Arvada Site.  As a Clean Room Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day process of equipment and cleanroom processes to ensure that there is minimal interruption to manufacturing.  Along with the day-to-day responsibilities in the cleanroom, there could also be additional work and projection around the facility. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs and documents all moderately complex manufacturing, calibration, testing or checking operations using standard tools (e.g., DVM, oscilloscope, tensile tester, environmental chamber) on newly manufactured products or processes using applicable computer software.  Perform supervisory assignments for the department such as interviewing, hiring, performance appraisal, training, employee discipline, termination, and work review/scheduling.

  • Performs all debugging and troubleshooting procedures. May design tests and procedures or perform as an expert on most aspects of the technology and product being manufactured.

  • Determines potential solutions to production problems and trends and makes a recommendation to engineering for implementation/change.

  • Work on and maintain Product sealing equipment like EMD, DoBoy, Packworld sealers

  • May resolve problems with engineering direction.

  • Provides feedback to operations teams.

  • Builds or performs repairs on equipment or works with engineers in the design, building, and validation of prototypes, test fixtures, production fixtures, etc. commensurate with experience level. Assures product and process quality.

  • May be responsible for training and implement procedures for assemblers and other technicians.

  • Ensures regulatory compliance in accordance with all regulatory agencies by which we are governed.

  • Reviews and assists in the development and writing of department policies, procedures, and regulatory documentation.

  • Requires ability to interpret complex electrical schematics.

  • Demonstrate ability to follow wiring diagrams and wire lists.

  • Ability to be actively involved in team tasks and projects.

  • Requires ability to successfully complete training on hazardous chemical waste.

  • Possess written communication skills to effectively write or contribute to sections of engineering documentation.

  • Conceptualizes or participates in the design of assembly tooling and fixtures.

  • On call Support and Overtime is expected to support cleanroom operations

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned by Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Manager

Tools and technologies used in the role

  • Process Control software and Hardware

  • Desktop and/or Laptop computers

  • Photocopier and Printers

  • EXACT database software program

  • EAM (asset and maintenance program for work orders)

  • Product sealing equipment like EMD, DoBoy, Packworld sealers

  • PLC Programming

  • Calibrated instruments for maintenance

  • Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

Education

  • Completed HS Degree or Equivalent

  • Certification in Manufacturing maintenance (nice to have)

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year production experience in medical devices or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facility or other FDA regulated industry

  • Experience working within a quality management system

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment preferred, but not required

  • Ability to apply analytical skills and scientific technical principles in problem solving and development

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member

  • Knowledge and experience in facility maintenance

  • Energetic, proactive, and efficient

  • Must be able to tolerate working with solvents and isopropyl alcohol

  • Proficient with Production heat sealing equipment

Shift Availability

  • Normal work week will be Monday - Friday

  • Shift begins any time between 5:30a - 8:00a and will run a standard 8 hour work day from start time

  • This role is eligible for overtime

Pay Transparency

  • A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this position is $28 - $35 per hour. Pay ranges may vary by location and will be awarded based on experience.
