Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate a side dump safely on and off the project sites
  • Pre and Post Trip inspection of the truck and trailer in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Fuel and grease truck daily
  • Perform tasks involving hauling dirt on project jobsite or between project jobsites
  • Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications

  • Class A CDL License
  • Air Brakes cert
  • Current Medical Card
  • 2+ year’s construction experience of hauling dirt
  • Knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Willingness to learn and accept direction from supervisors
  • Communication and interpersonal skills are a must
  • Ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritize

Working Conditions

  • Travel – The position is located in Shelby, NC area or the Charlotte, NC area, with the potential of other locations throughout the Eastern Region.
  • Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Lifting and carrying material and objects.
