Claims Specialist

The purpose of this role is to provide early, timely and personal service to workers, employers, providers/stakeholders and family/support networks whilst providing an empathetic customer experience through on a specialised group of claims. You will support workers who are looking for new employment opportunities.

This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week once fully trained.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve the optimum outcome of early sustainable return to work for workers with reasonable claim costs
• Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions in order to support injured workers to independently seek new employment opportunities.
• Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policy, in accordance with EML procedures if required.
• Undertake ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements, payments and medical expenses.
• Conduct health promotion activities to enhance the injured worker’s wellbeing and empower them to participate in their own treatment and recovery.
   

ABOUT YOU

• Strong customer service focus with a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences
• High organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on practical, outcome driven solutions
• Knowledge of medical terminology gained through relevant work experience or formal studies within tertiary allied health fields
• Knowledge of case management or job seeking principles is desired
