The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Relationship Manager to join our well-established team based in Glasgow.    

As a Claims Relationship Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing and delivering exceptional claims services across various business lines. You’ll work closely with our Claims and Underwriting Management teams to ensure a top-tier service. This role involves managing a portfolio of customer relationships, with a focus on delivering seamless and efficient claims support.

Your New Role:   

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Claims service strategy, processes and procedures to support delivery of overall business targets

  • Support the Claims leadership team in the acquisition and retention of profitable business

  • Identify any potential impact to claims resource requirements for new and renewing customers

  • Support the development and implementation processes to ensure that the Claims function is aligned to the needs of the business, and work closely with underwriters and other business functions

  • Identify claims efficiencies, with the aim of improving claims service delivery whilst reducing the total cost of claims, and recommend enhancements

  • Support with new business presentations to provide details of QBE Claims Service Offering and establish the best claims handling solution

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders/business managers for own portfolio to enable the business Claims function to fully support their needs

  • Represent claims in Internal / External meetings with our Customers

About you:    

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Good negotiation and communication skills

  • Leadership and project management experience

  • Resource and budget management experience

  • The ability to use office applications, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and produce detailed reports at various levels

  • Broad experience of working in commercial insurance claims would be advantageous
