The opportunity

At QBE it’s not just what we do, but how we do it – we are a diverse team of insurance professionals with a focus on service excellence for our valued customers and stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team looking after motor claims within Elders portfolio. You will ideally have claims experience although if you have exceptional call centre/customer service experience and are keen to learn a new industry this could also be the opportunity for you!

Your new role  

  • Promote QBE’s products and services through fostering great relationships with customers and stakeholders, showcasing our QBEDNA and company values

  • Provide an exceptional operational and customer service experience for diverse internal and external stakeholders including our customers, Elders Agent, organisations, and partnerships

  • Process claims in line with set procedures and policies, ensuring that claims are documented correctly, and resolved with a prompt and effective outcome

  • Deliver high quality customer service and develop a good working relationship with all customers and service providers

  • Manage claims using the appropriate external and internal specialists to achieve the settlement outcome efficiently and effectively

  • Enhance and develop your own technical expertise and participate in professional development and training where required

About you  

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience within insurance claims is highly advantageous although not mandatory

  • Previous experience in call centre, customer service and/or administration

  • Strong customer service skills with a highly supportive approach

  • A passion for making a difference and helping people in their time of need

  • An engaging and courteous phone manner with the ability to type and talk concurrently

  • Ability to handle multiple and competing tasks to meet customer needs

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to critically assess and analyse tasks
