The opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled Claims Officer to join our Commercial Property Claims team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering exceptional claims service, analysing policy coverage, and expertly managing the investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of a variety of cases. Your new role

  • Stay up to date with insurance guidelines and policy changes, ensuring compliance.

  • Resolve non-compliant issues and escalate when necessary to maintain standards.

  • Build strong client relationships, responding to requests promptly and professionally.

  • Process property claims, determine coverage, and ensure accurate settlements.

  • Set reserves, authorise payments, and efficiently manage claim resolutions.

  • Identify and report suspicious claims, while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders and adhering to confidentiality guidelines.

About you

  • Previous claims officer experience general insurance claims experience (property is highly advantageous)

  • Excellent customer service experience with a passion to grow and develop into a property insurance professional

  • A strong focus on customer service with the ability to build rapport over the phone and handle varying customer expectations and demands

  • A highly empathetic approach to dealing with customers, possessing the ability to be friendly yet professional

  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills

  • Can do attitude
