ARE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE?  Analyzes and processes complex claims, works with high exposure claims involving litigation, and ensures ongoing claims within service expectations, industry best practices and specific client service requirements. Identifies and pursues potential third-party subrogation recoveries associated with highest exposure/complexity claims, all lines of business across all jurisdictions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • Manages high‑exposure, complex, multi‑jurisdictional claims with a focus on identifying and pursuing third‑party subrogation opportunities
  • Evaluates recovery potential through investigation, feasibility analysis, and strategic claim planning
  • Provides expert subrogation guidance to internal teams, external partners, vendors, and legal counsel to maximize recoveries within client and jurisdictional guidelines
  • Develops, negotiates, and resolves subrogation claims, including referral to and direction of subrogation counsel when required
  • Oversees litigation and vendor management to ensure timely, cost‑effective claim resolution
  • Ensures accurate claim documentation, diary management, reporting, and compliance with excess reporting and coding requirements
  • Approves and issues claim payments, manages recoveries, and reconciles recovery fees within the claims management system
  • Prepares and presents client status reports and participates in claim and client review meetings
  • Supports cost containment initiatives through strategic vendor partnerships and recovery strategies
  • Serves as a subject‑matter expert by mentoring peers, providing training, and contributing to departmental development initiatives
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Licensing

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Experience

Six (6) years of multi-jurisdictional liability (general liability, auto liability, products), subrogation and/or workers compensation claims handling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
