Personal Injury Claims Adjuster – Employer & Public liability

Leeds/Chelmsford/Hybrid 

The opportunity 

We are looking for a Personal Injury Claims adjuster to join our Casualty team in Leeds, focusing specifically on our employer’s liability & public liability claims. This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle a diverse caseload, engage with both internal and external stakeholders and contribute to our collaborative and inclusive culture.

Your new role

  • Investigate and resolve Casualty Personal Injury claims to provide excellent claims handling service with minimal leakage.

  • Identify and investigate coverage issues to ensure the company’s liability aligns with its contractual commitments.

  • Identify subrogation, contribution, and other recovery issues and ensure these are successfully pursued where appropriate.

  • Manage claims and other material claims issues to resolve and settle claims on an economic basis.

  • Ensure claims fees and advice are responded to within agreed timeframes to provide good service.

  • Respond to internal and external stakeholder requests in accordance with service standards.

  • Flag complaints as required and Treat Customers Fairly.

  • Maintain knowledge of the claims portfolio and provide information to others on request to support effective monitoring of claims and underwriting decisions.

  • Reserve accurately to ensure the company’s liability is always clear.

  • Maintain efficient handling of your own caseload to ensure the prompt, timely, and effective handling of claims.

About you 

  • Excellent investigative skills 

  • Proven experience dealing with policy coverage 

  • Experience dealing with liability negotiations 

  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal  

  • Relationship Management skills 

  • Able to effectively use MS office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
