STV has an immediate need in our Jacksonville, FL office for a Senior Civil / Roadway Manager in our Transportation & Infrastructure division.
The ideal candidate is an individual who is a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and possesses a comprehensive understanding of roadway design principles. This is an excellent role for a creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional that enjoys being a part of a team environment. This opening is a great opportunity for a professional to technically while leading a multidisciplinary design team. Prior experience leading design efforts would be a plus, as this could be a next step in your career to take on an office leadership role.
The successful candidate will:
Provide professional design services for transportation projects for municipal agencies and FDOT.
Design roadway geometry and details, drainage (a plus), traffic control, signing and pavement markings for transportation infrastructure.
Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams
Design experience using MicroStation, experience in Open Roads (ORD) is a plus
Coordinate design development and assisting with technical direction to other design staff
Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget
Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
Work with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and STV’s growth.
Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and project managers
Mentor supporting Civil design staff
Requirements:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in all technical aspects of roadway design
Experience in design with intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities.
Experience with using Open Roads Designer is a plus
Familiarity with the current edition of FDOT FDM and Standard Plans, AASHTO Green Book and MUTCD
Experience with FDOT and other FL municipalities
Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
FL PE license is required
Compensation Range:
