Our Austin, TX office has an immediate opportunity for a Civil/Roadway Engineering Specialist to join our Roadway Design Team. This position is well-suited for an early-career engineer seeking hands-on experience supporting transportation and infrastructure projects throughout Central Texas and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and review of roadway, highway, and site development projects
Support roadway geometrics, modeling, and cross-section development
Contribute to grading, drainage, and stormwater management design
Assist with erosion and sediment control plans
Support traffic control plans, traffic studies, and signalization layouts
Prepare signing, pavement marking, and utility coordination plans
Assist with preparation of plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and schematic design documents
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
0–4 years of relevant roadway or civil engineering experience preferred
Successful completion of the FE exam / Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification
Experience or exposure to MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads/GEOPAK, Microsoft Office; AutoCAD a plus
Active participation in professional societies encouraged
Ability to perform essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safety
Compensation Range:
