Job Description Summary

The Civil Inspector of Works is responsible for supervising and inspecting civil and architectural work elements throughout the data centre construction process. The role ensures structural, architectural, and civil works meet design intent, quality standards, and construction best practices.

About the Role:  

  • Inspect civil and architectural works such as foundations, structural components, concrete works, masonry, finishing, and external works.
  • Ensure all materials and workmanship conform to approved drawings, technical specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
  • Monitor contractor activities and report any non‑conformance or safety concerns.
  • Verify site measurements, levels, and dimensions, ensuring accuracy for civil construction works.
  • Maintain daily site inspection records and report progress, issues, and quality concerns to the Resident Engineer.

About You:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience inspecting civil, structural, or architectural works for commercial, industrial, or data‑centre projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction activities such as foundations, concrete works, rebar installation, masonry, waterproofing, finishes, and external works.
  • Experience reviewing drawings, verifying dimensions/levels, and monitoring contractor workmanship.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes, NCR reporting, and daily site documentation.
