We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in civil construction works related to 132/220/400 kV substations. The candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the successful execution of civil works in compliance with project specifications, ADDC/TAQA/DEWA standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements

What will you do?

  • Supervise and manage all civil activities for substations, including foundations, trenches, cable ducts, control buildings, equipment plinths, and site development.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, IFC/approved shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Coordinate with consultants, client representatives (TAQA/ADDC/DEWA), and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, QA/QC procedures, and project timelines.
  • Monitor material deliveries, conduct inspections, and support the preparation of MIR and RFI submissions.
  • Manage concrete works, earthworks, rebar, formworks, asphalt, paving, and finishing activities.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues on-site and support design clarifications with the engineering team.
  • Participate in site meetings and contribute to planning and scheduling activities.
  • Ensure adherence to Abu Dhabi Municipality, TAQA, ADDC, DEWA and relevant UAE authority requirements.

Experience and Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • Minimum 7 years of civil construction experience, with at least 3–5 years in substation projects in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of TRANSCO/ADDC standards and substation civil construction practices.
  • Experience in handling site inspections, quality documentation, and authority approvals.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in MS O>ice, AutoCAD, and site coordination tools.
  • Strong understanding of concrete mix design, soil improvement, waterproofing, and structural works.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and control manpower productivity.
