All Bruce Power (Tiverton site) student opportunities for the May 2026 academic work terms are targeting in person placements. ** Ability to travel to site will be required**.

We have an opportunity for post-secondary students currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program. Students will complete a four (4) month opportunity supporting the Civil Maintenance department in various grounds keeping tasks from May to September 2026.

Must be willing to work under the following conditions:

  • Outdoor environment in various temperatures requiring the use of appropriate protective equipment and clothing (e.g. hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, high viz clothing, gloves, safety footwear)

May 2026 Work Term

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining lawns, shrubs, flowers and turf (both on site and at the Visitor's Center)

  • Landscaping maintenance and spreading mulch in garden beds

  • Preventing and eliminating weeds

  • Assisting custodial staff and ground staff

  • Operating riding lawn mower and other machinery in a safe manner

  • Other duties as required

We seek students that:

  • Are eligible and available for a four (4-month) work term placement

  • Have a strong understanding of safety in the workplace

  • Enjoy working outdoors in a variety of temperatures

  • Follow safety rules and directions

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities

  • Self-motivated and dependable

  • Have completed one (1) full year of post-secondary studies and will return to school upon completion of their work term

  • Have a valid full G2-class driver’s license

  • Can work 40 hours/week with a 7:00 am start time
