Civil Inspector - Tunnel
Abu Dhabi
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Inspector to join our team! In this role, you will perform challenging and sometimes complex inspection tasks, inspect various facets of work on the job site, and perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities.
What You'll Be Doing:
Interface with client and contractor staff to determine and verify project requirements.
Prepare inspection reports and site records.
Perform civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, and concrete coring.
Provide general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a construction-related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the inspection of civil construction works.
Must be familiar with tunnel works, structure works, different shoring systems, and underground structures.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction-related processes related to the area of assignment.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, and Project Management Software.
Marine project work experience is preferable.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Recent experience in infrastructure and tunnel works in the UAE will be an added advantage.
