Civil Engineering Intern (UAE National)

Parsons offers an internship program and are seeking highly motivated focused on all areas across the Infrastructure and Transportation sectors to join our internship program.

Our interns are gaining hands-on experience, expanding their knowledge, and growing their network during their time with as us, as well as receiving access to events for their professional development and curated mentorship. As part of our internship program, interns aren’t just here to learn what we do — they're here to contribute to our culture, elevate their careers, and imagine next with us. With providing an exceptional experience for our interns. The program consists of multi subjects and will be conducted for the period required from your educational institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe civil engineering team members as they carry out planning, design, site supervision, and implementation activities on projects
• Learn to use civil engineering tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel) under guidance
• Shadow engineers during site visits, coordination meetings, and project reviews to understand workflows and decision-making
• Assist with simple, supervised tasks such as organizing site data, updating basic project documentation, or preparing simple reports
• Learn how to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and other project documents
• Observe site inspections, testing, and quality checks to understand methods, standards, and best practices
• Ask questions and seek feedback to deepen understanding of civil engineering concepts, construction processes, and site procedures
• Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, and comply with company policies while in the office and on-site

Education

• Currently pursuing a civil bachelor’s degree.

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of core civil engineering principles
• Familiarity with common productivity tools such as MS Office$ (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Participation in civil engineering–related academic projects, labs, or student clubs
• Exposure to basic civil engineering software or tools (e.g., AutoCAD, basic surveying or lab equipment

Soft Skills

• Good communication and active listening skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude
