Major Duties:
Qualifications: To view the eligibility and qualification requirements of a Civil Engineer, GS-0810, please visit: Civil Engineer, 0810. In addition to the education required for this position, you must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is defined as: experience applying structural engineering analysis in the investigation, design, construction, operation, or maintenance of an infrastructure facility, and conducting inspections of concrete dams. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
