We are currently seeking a Roads Drafter to join our Transport team in WA, supporting the delivery of major road, highway, and transport infrastructure projects, including MRWA works.
In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality design documentation and supporting engineers across all project phases—from concept through to detailed design and construction documentation.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed road and highway design drawings including alignments, long sections, cross sections, drainage layouts, and pavement details in accordance with MRWA standards and Austroads guidelines
- Producing and managing 2D and 3D models using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, OpenRoads Designer, and Civil 3D
- Assisting in the development of design documentation packages for tender and construction, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements
- Coordinating with engineers and multidisciplinary teams (drainage, structures, traffic, utilities) to integrate design elements across large infrastructure projects
- Supporting design reviews, model audits, and drawing checks to maintain high-quality deliverables
- Communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project delivery timelines

What can you bring to the team?
- Demonstrated experience as a Civil/Roads Drafter working on WA road or highway projects, ideally with exposure to MRWA standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with experience in OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D highly regarded
- Strong understanding of road geometry, drainage, and earthworks modelling
- Experience producing detailed design and construction drawings within infrastructure projects
- A TAFE qualification or equivalent in Civil Engineering Design or similar
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
