The Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for producing in-house civil designs.Job Description:

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Civil Design Support
Assist senior engineers in preparing site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management plans, erosion control plans, and other civil engineering design elements for utility-scale solar projects.
Conduct site due diligence research, analyze topographic data, and perform basic engineering calculations to support design development.
The primary focus will be developing 30% designs to service as the basis for our business development and estimating efforts.
CAD Drafting
Create and modify detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.
Code and Regulatory Research
Research and stay current on local, state, and federal civil engineering and solar development regulations.
Project Collaboration
Participate in design reviews and collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
Documentation and Reporting
Assist in the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and specifications.
Maintenance of accurate project documentation, including design revision/iteration history.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or on track to obtain it.
Demonstrated proficiency in civil design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, PVsyst, or similar).
Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, including hydrology, grading, and stormwater management.
Basic knowledge of applicable building codes, engineering principles, and industry best practices
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
