Leidos is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team.
In this role you will support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) performing design engineering, cost estimating, scheduling, coordinating, inspecting, and acceptance and report project progress and issues against project goals, scope of work, and schedule. The projects support air traffic control facilities over the geographic scope of the ESA. You will ensure accuracy of design, products and timeliness of project completion.

Civil Engineer Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural systems and civil elements (foundations, slabs, framing, retaining walls) for government and institutional facilities.
- Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and design criteria to meet public-sector standards and procurement requirements.
- Coordinate with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate structural and civil designs on complex projects.
- Perform structural analysis, modeling, and material selection using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, SAP2000, ETABS) while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and agency guidelines.
- Support construction and project delivery through site visits, cost estimating and quantity takeoffs, shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and verification of construction conformance.
Civil Engineer Basic Qualifications:
- Engineering degree from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
- Four years of experience in design and construction of commercial or institutional facilities. Or a Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Current and relevant knowledge of building codes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency in engineering analysis and design software tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability.
Civil Engineer Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to create and edit project drawings in AutoCAD.
- Understanding of the National Airspace System components within an air route traffic control center (ARTCC).
- Registered Professional Engineer in good standing in the United States.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
