City Operations Student

The goal of Bison’s Student Placements is to provide students with valuable work and life experience. Students are hired to work full time for the duration of their chosen placement term. We are currently recruiting an energetic, results-focused post-secondary student to join our team! This position offers an opportunity to gain experience and to learn about our Operations team, our Company and the transportation Industry. 

Responsibilities:

• Accurately distributing, receiving and updating information,
• Project work,
• Exposure to the various aspects of our City Operations team.

Our ideal candidate will possess: 

• Post-secondary student in a Supply Chain. Management, or Business Administration degree, your record should reflect balanced achievement in academics and practical experience
• Exceptional customer service skills; embraces the concept of both the internal and external customer
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
• The ability to work independently and work effectively as a team player

Demonstrated competencies in the following areas: 

• Results orientation, ownership mindset, solutions outlook and integrity
• Ability to quickly establish working relationships and effectively transition through assignments
• Ability to thrive in a multi-task, deadline orientated, high volume and fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn complex programs
• Desire to pursue continuous learning activities is also considered a strong asset
• Previous Supply Chain work experience considered an asset

You will have the opportunity to gain experience in our Langley City Operations team as a Dispatcher.

​These positions often lead to full-time employment offers upon graduation. Our current opportunity is a full-time summer position (May-August), with potential for weekend and part-time hours during the school term. Flexible to start prior to May based on students availability.
