Join Cigna's Vision team. This position is responsible for product management actives related to the Cigna Vision product for all size segments. As the product advisor this role will help our Vision Business focus on the specific and unique needs of our various market segments, bringing Cigna Vision products and capabilities to market that drive continued profitable growth.
This position will play a key role on the Product team and will be accountable for supporting the execution of the vision product strategy and focus on the go to market product positioning of vision solutions with key stakeholders. To be successful in the role, this individual must be able to operate in a matrix organization. The role requires strong communication skills, and strong implementation skills will be critical abilities needed for this role.
Direct Responsibilities:
- Assesses key market factors, including competitive landscape and consumer insights, to uncover unmet or changing customer needs and using these insights to deliver recommendations to the Vision Product leader and key stakeholders for development of Vision products and capabilities to meet the market.
- Supports the implementation the Cigna Vision product line strategy and multi-year roadmap that meet stakeholder needs and enables earnings and growth strategies.
- Serves a product support for key stakeholders to ensure the right vision solutions and responses are being used on RFPs, and for inforce renewals.
- Supports assessment and product related implementation of non-standard benefits for vision accounts.
- Support administration and operational oversight of vision product and vendor for outsourced activities, projects and programs in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Prioritizes product efforts to align with business strategic priorities, and priority of buying groups/ market segments.
- Serves as a vision product expert for the organization, having a clear grasp of exactly what your product is, the experiences it delivers (for all stakeholders) and understanding of the value it creates and the differentiators.
- Ensure Sales partners are trained, supported, and able to deliver the Vision value proposition of each new product/enhancement and capability to maximize sales.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Effectiveness to create material that educates, informs and drives sales

Functional Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required – or job equivalent experience.
- 7 plus years of experience in the Group Insurance Industry; Product Development and Management Expertise for at least 2 years
- Network based product knowledge (medical, vision, dental) required –Vision experience strongly preferred
- Customer facing and/or sales experience, finance/underwriting exposure and familiarity beneficial.
- Ability to foster collaboration, value others perspectives, and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals
- Strong critical thinking, analytic and problem solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize job requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work in Matrix Environment
- Collaborative approach to achieving results
- Strong Communication and Experience articulating vision to senior level leaders
- Knowledge of Experience Lead Value Creation and SaFe Agile a plus
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
Reporting Relationship:
This position reports to the Vision Product leader who, in turn, reports to the Director of Dental & Vision Products
