Job Description:

Position Overview:

The CI Engineer will utilize their lean mindset and tools to improve manufacturing and business processes. Individuals in this position will have a passion for team collaboration, desire to solve problems, and experience with project management that drives results.

Duties, Responsibilities, & Objectives:

Lean Mentality:

  • Effectively collaborates w/ cross functional teams to drive value through problem solving and creative thinking to accomplish short-term and long-term goals.

  • Ability to independently facilitate Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Quick hit projects from definition through execution.

  • Perform analysis of current state & provide multiple what-if scenarios for improved efficiencies; understand and present financial impacts of these scenarios.

  • Brainstorm, prioritize, and implement robust improvements that will scale as we grow.

  • Provide coaching and training on various process improvement techniques to build internal capabilities.

Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional projects of moderate complexity, typically process improvements and/or capital expenditure projects.

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment on scope, budget, schedule, and resources.

  • Develop and execute charters, action plans and project timelines with plans in place for long term sustainment of results.

  • Establish appropriate metrics and report on project progress, risks, and results.

  • Ensure process changes are fully integrated through documentation, communication, perseverance, and consistency.

  • Drive accountability to successfully complete tasks.

  • Capability to quickly establish credibility, influence project teams, and persuade professionals at all levels.

  • Maintains a strategic cross functional mindset and understands how business decisions will impact entire organization.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing focused on continuous improvement

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (LSSBB, a plus)

  • Advanced Data analysis skills in MS Excel, Pareto, Control charts, PowerPivot, and/or VBA
