CI Center Operations Specialist

The Customer Information Center (CI Center) team is responsible for maintaining the integrity of customer and account information in UMB’s core systems and updating information as requested while adhering to banking regulations and guidance.  We are a fast-paced, deadline-driven operations department with a focus on quality and customer service.

As the CI Center Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting all lines of business within UMB.   A primary responsibility of this role will be supporting updates to Hogan CIS, DDA, TDA, and the corporate reference application, ensuring operational accuracy and effective execution of all data update requests.   In addition, you will be responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to identify and correct discrepancies between UMB’s core and integrated systems and applications.   You will be the operational contact for the semi-annual disaster recovery exercise and offer occasional after-hours and weekend testing for upgrades impacting systems or applications supported by the team.   This is a subset of the overall responsibilities, which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by Bank Operations leadership. 

This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote, 8:30-5:30 PM) for candidates in Kansas City, MO or Dubuque, IA metropolitan areas.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Serve as primary operational support for Hogan CIS, DDA, TDA, and the Corporate Reference application.
  • Process requests for correction or maintenance promptly, and evaluate requests based on current regulations and compliance guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate resolution with Hogan BSA and internal technology partners.
  • Maintain documentation, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Provide subject matter support to the team and business partners in unpredictable scenarios.
  • Perform testing and validation for system enhancements, configuration changes, and vendor releases.
  • Create and produce reports to analyze operational data, reconcile inconsistencies, and to identify trends or performance issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform in-depth research utilizing a variety of reports and systems.
  • Build, run, and troubleshoot macros to support bulk processing.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for operational enhancement.

We’re excited to talk if you have:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience with banking or financial processing or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Customer Service experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of bank services and operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, managers, and business partners.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to determine priorities, plan, organize, and follow through on tasks.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word & SharePoint).

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Knowledge of UMB Consumer banking products, services, systems, and policies and procedures.
  • Experience with business analytics (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Knowledge of UMB Commercial/business banking products, services, systems, and policies and procedures.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.

Compensation Range:

$38,910.00 - $75,080.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
