We are looking for a Business Engineering Leader to join our APAC team. This individual will be responsible for the development and execution of capital programs for our APAC business organization. The Business Engineering Leader will review projects for completeness and ensure adherence to engineering and safety standards. They will lead the engineering teams to execute programs supporting the organization's strategic direction.
Business Engineering Lead
- Develop a global capital strategy across APAC sites aligning with commercial and supply chain strategies.
- Partner with Business teams to develop new programs supporting the organization's strategic direction and enabling business growth.
- Review project objectives, design, schedules & cost estimates for completeness and feasibility.
- Assist in business case development, manage programs for optimal return on investment.
- Review engineering and construction packages for completeness and constructability, ensure all standards and required specifications are followed.
- Drive consistency and best practices across the regional team.
- Drive equipment standardization and spare part sharing across the regional team.
- Ensure adequate project staffing, utilizing contractors and 3rd parties as appropriate.
- Partner with EH&S to understand safety requirements, ensure adherence and rollout of new programs.
- Prioritize projects based on various factors such as safety, program risk, financial return, etc.
- Manage regional cashflow forecasting, prepare budgets and evaluate other financial metrics/ KPIs.
- Evaluate opportunities for automation, improved sustainability, and other process enhancements.
- Lead a regionall team managing across functions with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
- Leverage learnings across functions and regions, highlight successes and areas for quick wins.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of site engineering experience
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Understanding of the automotive industry and production processes
- Strong IT systems knowledge, experience with SAP ERP system (S4 Hana an added benefit), statistical modeling tools, PowerBi, Tableau, and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience delivering results through cross-functional working and leading people.
