KBR is looking for a Chief Technical Advisor - Clean Ammonia & Hydrogen (CAH) to work in our Leatherhead office.

As a Chief Technical Advisor - Clean Ammonia & Hydrogen (CAH), you are responsible for performing process technology related engineering works as well as with mentoring more junior staff, leading of project teams and compliance with quality, timeline, and costs. In addition, the senior role will be involved and lead new technology due diligence and development.

You will make decisions and provide recommendations that have a far reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities of the Company. Your tasks will include the following activities in engineering, delivery of process deliverables and site services for Clean Ammonia & Hydrogen projects based on existing and developing KBR technologies.

  • Participates/lead in the development of proposals and design packages for KBR Clean Ammonia & Hydrogen licensed technologies, which includes establishing process design basis, development of process options, and optimization of selected design.
  • Participates/lead assessment and development of new emerging technologies, and participates in the development of the strategic road map for CAH short/mid/long term   
  • Performs detailed process design calculations and develops process design simulations.
  • Participates/ Leads in project kick-off meetings, PFD/P&ID reviews, or other client-facing meetings as necessary.
  • Participates/ Leads as process advisor in startup and commissioning activities.
  • Maintains effective communication with project team members, sales team, and technology leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Relevant experience in Ammonia/ Syngas and related process design (process designs, FEED, field work), with Ammonia experience
  • Solid knowledge of Chemical Engineering disciplines, process design tools and procedures
  • Experience in Process Simulation Software such as Aspen PlusTM
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to travel and go on field assignments
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Operational experience is desirable
