Position Overview:

The Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) is a key leadership role responsible for the end-to-end management of Dutch Bros’ supply chain, including sourcing of all materials, planning and forecasting, distribution logistics to our shops, and the specialized functions of coffee purchasing and coffee roasting. The CSCO will play a critical role in scaling the company’s operational capabilities to support aggressive growth while ensuring product quality, consistency, and cost efficiency across the system.

This leader will drive a collaborative, cross-functional approach, serving as a strategic partner to Operations, Finance, and Development teams. The role requires a highly experienced supply chain executive who brings both strategic vision and a hands-on leadership style—someone willing to roll up their sleeves and actively engage with teams and processes. The CSCO will champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and steadfast support of the Dutch Bros brand and operator success.


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, logistics, finance, or a related field

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • 15+ years of experience in operations and/or supply chain management

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to identify opportunities, streamline processes, and drive measurable cost savings and efficiency improvements

  • Deep understanding of the food service distribution business model


Location Requirement: 
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

  • Supply Chain Strategy & Scaling: Develop and execute a multi-year supply chain strategy that supports Dutch Bros’ aggressive expansion, ensuring scalability, agility, and redundancy across the network.

  • Operational Excellence & Cost Management: Drive meaningful improvements in efficiency, inventory accuracy, and overall supply chain costs (COGS) while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and food safety.

  • Sourcing & Procurement: Lead global sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations for all ingredients, packaging, equipment, and services, with a strong focus on strategic and ethical coffee purchasing.

  • Distribution & Logistics: Optimize the distribution network and last-mile delivery processes to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery to all Dutch Bros locations, including both company- and franchise-operated shops.

  • Coffee Roasting & Quality Control: Oversee in-house coffee roasting operations, including capacity planning, process efficiency, and rigorous quality assurance to maintain the distinct flavor profile and consistency of Dutch Bros coffee.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Build strong partnerships with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Development to align supply chain initiatives with business needs, while mentoring and developing a high-performing team.

Physical Requirements:

  • In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions

  • Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings 

  • Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels

  • Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.  Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds

  • Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.

  • Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.

  • Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.

  • Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software. 

  • Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.
