Job Description:

We are seeking a highly strategic and analytical Chief of Staff to support the EVP of Private Markets Intelligence in developing new lines of business, executing transformative M&A, and driving organic growth. This role requires strong quantitative capability, exceptional executive communication skills, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives in a high-growth environment. 

The ideal candidate has sharpened their product, analytical, and organizational skills through hands-on experience building products at scale in software businesses. A background in FinTech, enterprise SaaS, or financial workflows (e.g., M&A, capital markets, investment banking technology) is highly beneficial, but not essential. 

Based locally in New York City with hybrid working environment requiring at least 3 days in-office per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) 

Responsibilities 

Strategic Support & Execution 

  • Act as a key advisor to the EVP of Private Markets Intelligence, helping to prioritize and execute strategic initiatives aligned with business goals. 

  • Conduct rigorous research and data analysis, and provide insights to support decision-making for technology, product, and business investments. 

  • Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences. 

  • Develop reports, presentations, and communications for internal leadership and external financial services partners. 

Project & Program Management 

  • Lead and manage cross-functional initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery of key technology and product initiatives. 

  • Oversee progress on strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the evolving needs of M&A and capital markets clients. 

  • Proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and dependencies, escalating critical issues when necessary. 

Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Operate as an extension of the EVP of Private Markets Intelligence. 

  • Serve as a connective layer between business units, driving alignment and clarity. 

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to align teams with leadership goals. 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and innovation. 

  • Ensure follow-through on decisions and action items. 

Executive & Stakeholder Support 

  • Manage the EVP of Private Markets Intelligence priorities, including strategic planning, executive meetings, and high-level stakeholder communications. 

  • Handle confidential and high-stakes initiatives with discretion and professionalism. 

  • Translate leadership decisions into clear execution plans with defined ownership and accountability. 

About You: 

  • 5+ years of experience in a product, strategy, or strategic finance role collaborating with senior executives. Experience in FinTech, enterprise SaaS, or M&A technology; management consulting is a plus.

  • Top-tier academic background or equivalent rigor through experience

  • Exceptional data analytics and structured problem-solving skills. 

  • High comfort working with ambiguity in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. 

  • Articulate with a high degree of attention to detail 

  • Familiarity with M&A workflows, SaaS product strategy, or financial modeling is a plus. 

  • Experience supporting software-driven teams and technology strategy. 

  • Experience and aptitude with working cross-functionally, able to understand and put together multiple perspectives and marry different objectives together.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position based on a good faith assessment of the role and market data at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. This position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or overtime if applicable. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a retirement savings plan, paid time off, and other employee benefits. Specific details will be provided during the interview process. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

$200,400.00 - $360,500.00
