Chief of Staff – Civil Aerospace

Derby or London (Hybrid - min 3 days on site)

Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chief of Staff to join the Civil Aerospace Team in Derby or London.

The Chief of Staff will enable the President, Civil Aerospace and the Senior Leadership Team to operate with maximum efficiency, effectiveness, and strategic alignment by establishing and maintaining an optimal operating rhythm, governance structure, and acting as a trusted advisor.

What you will be doing:

The Chief of Staff will design and implement an effective operating rhythm, coordinating leadership team meetings, off-sites, and reviews to align activities with strategic priorities and decision making:

  • Develop and maintain governance processes to track strategic initiatives, business KPIs, and cross functional dependencies while ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals
  • Act as a central coordination point for seamless collaboration, communication, and accountability across the leadership team to resolve critical issues and drive results
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the President, Civil Aerospace, preparing briefings and providing insights to support key decisions
  • Lead and oversee cross-functional projects, addressing operational inefficiencies and delivering measurable outcomes to enhance overall performance.

Preferred requirements:

  • Proven experience in a strategic, operational, or advisory role
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and drive governance structures and operational cadence in complex organisations
  • Strong track record of supporting senior leaders, including preparing briefings and decision-making frameworks
  • Hands on experience leading cross-functional teams or managing strategic initiatives
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and organisational skills with a bias for action
  • Ability to influence, build relationships, and bring fresh perspectives
