Job Purpose

  • The CFO role supervises and steers the Finance Function for all Sanofi activities in HK/Taiwan in accordance with local legislation, corporate procedures, and group requirements.

  • This position requires extensive collaboration with Finance and non-Finance teams across Greater China and serves as Finance Business Partner for HK/Taiwan country lead, working closely with leadership to develop financial strategies and ensure robust execution. This role sits on the Greater China finance and Hong Kong/Taiwan leadership team.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Financial forecasting, and budgeting aligned with corporate goals

  • Drive growth to achieve sales targets and deliver BOI through pricing strategies, tender management, and resource allocation.

  • Contribute to forecasting transformation leveraging monthly processes and AI

  • Collaborate with senior leadership as Finance Business Partner for General Medicines to drive strategic decision-making and act as trusted advisor

Financial Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.

  • Maintain proper financial information flow and governance across Business Ops pillars.

  • Ensure adherence to tax, audit, and HK/Taiwan financial regulations as well as highest business ethics standards.

  • Work with Greater China Treasury team to manage cash flow and working capital.

Risk & Cost Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.

  • Oversee cost management initiatives to improve profitability and efficiency.

  • Foster agile resource allocation and smart-spending culture.

Leadership & Governance

  • Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Support Finance Business Partners of all GBUs, driving perimeter performance.

  • Contribute to Greater China One Finance talent development and initiatives.

  • Communicate financial performance to global, regional and local stakeholders.

  • Sanofi employee must understand of own roles and responsibilities in avoiding health risk (Health), preventing accidents (Safety) and environment protection (Environment). Involved in any such activities must comply with HSE policy.

About you

Education

  • University degree, major in Accounting or Finance.

  • Degree in finance, business administration or accounting; professional accounting designation preferred.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven operational experience and success in Finance within an international environment; exposure to Head Office controlling or treasury functions desirable; ability to support the business and handle organization and people-management issues preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years' finance experience in multinational environment.

  • Fluent Mandarin required/Taiwanese appreciated.

  • Demonstrates excellent English language.

  • Experience analyzing business plans to determine financial implications..
