About the Role:

The Chief Test Engineer serves as the technical resource for Test Engineering, supporting product quality, yield, and capacity objectives. This role ensures test setups, programs, and methods are optimized and aligned with specifications, drives test yield improvements, supports production ramp-ups, and leads cross-functional initiatives to enhance test processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as the technical resource for Test Engineering and lead other Test Engineers to meet section goals, deliverables, and KPIs.

  • Perform electrical test qualification of test setups or transfers in support of production ramp and capability.

  • Ensure Test GR&R meets requirements and is maintained.

  • Reduce test overkills and drive test yield improvement.

  • Own Test program changes, optimization, qualification, and deployment.

  • Ensure test jobs are aligned with official specifications and implemented on schedule.

  • Maintain test capacity and yield entitlement targets.

  • Implement or enhance electrical testing solutions and methods.

  • Support systemic improvements for test-related production line issues.

  • Drive test yield breakthroughs through test job, method, setup enhancement, or requirement rationalization.

  • Lead qualification for new and enhanced test capabilities.

  • Support customer complaint investigations using 8D methodology.

  • Interface closely with BG Test on test improvement initiatives.

  • Support quality initiatives for Test and resolution of test-related issues.

  • Support qualification and RTP of setups for ramp and capability.

  • Implement BG-related quality firewalls for Final Test.

  • Conduct training for test technicians and engineers.

  • Drive cross-site test improvements requiring collaboration across AT sites and cross-functional teams.

What You Will Need:

  • Proficient in problem-solving tools, process optimization techniques, and quality tools (e.g., 8D, SPC, DOE, FMEA).

  • Skilled in statistical tools (Minitab, Statistics, Exensio, SpotFire).

  • Team player able to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Effective communicator across teams with strong reporting skills.

  • Deep electronics fundamentals (Power MOS, Bipolar Discretes, SiC, GaN, IGBT).

  • Project management skills.

  • Ability to lead and conduct effective meetings.
