Chief Delivery Officer
Introduction to role
Evinova is redefining how digital health accelerates clinical development, using an AI-native platform that already supports hundreds of active studies across more than 54 countries. At this pivotal moment of rapid global growth, the Chief Delivery Officer will build and scale the end-to-end delivery of our AI and SaaS solutions, ensuring that life-changing innovations reach patients faster, safely, and at scale. Reporting directly to the President and sitting on the Evinova Leadership Team, this role leads a global delivery organisation and holds executive accountability for quality, speed, compliance, and customer satisfaction across every deployment and engagement.
Accountabilities
Lead the global delivery strategy and execution for Evinova’s AI and SaaS offerings, setting a clear vision for how delivery scales across enterprise pharma, mid-tier biotech, and CRO partners worldwide. Own and evolve a robust delivery framework that spans planning, kick off, deployment, launch, hyper care, continuous improvement, and upgrades, with clear targets for time-to-value, SLA performance, and customer satisfaction. Build and run a high-velocity “deployment factory” model that uses automation, AI, templates, and standardised playbooks to scale study activations without proportional headcount growth.
Take full ownership of the professional services P&L, forecasting costs and margins, optimising utilisation, and delivering against financial targets in partnership with Finance and the President. Partner closely with Sales and Commercial teams to scope, price, and contract delivery commitments that are executable, compliant, and commercially sound. Track and report delivery financial performance to the Leadership Team and Board, ensuring transparency on utilisation, billing accuracy, time-to-revenue, and services margin.
Act as the executive point of escalation for critical customer delivery issues, personally leading resolution of high-severity incidents with global pharma and CRO partners. Build positive relationships with senior customer partners, representing Evinova at steering committees and governance forums. Oversee customer success across the full post-sale lifecycle in partnership with Customer Success and Account Management teams, driving implementation success, expansion, and renewal.
Own GxP-compliant delivery of all SaaS implementations and services, ensuring adherence to GCP (ICH E6), 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11 and related standards. Govern Computer System Validation (CSV), risk-based validation frameworks, audit trail standards, and inspection readiness for both customer and regulatory authority audits. Define and enforce documentation standards, SOPs, and quality management practices that meet internal expectations and those of regulated pharma customers.
Lead, develop, and encourage a distributed team of delivery professionals across multiple countries, building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, inclusion, and high performance. Drive transformation of delivery processes to materially increase capacity and reduce cycle times through automation, AI-assisted tooling, process re-engineering, and intelligent resource management. Own resource and capacity planning end-to-end: headcount forecasting, skills mapping, workforce planning, talent pipeline development, training, competency frameworks, succession planning, and leadership development.
Set and manage OKRs, KPIs, and governance rhythms across the delivery organisation; provide clear visibility on delivery health, risk, and performance to the Leadership Team and in customer-facing reviews. Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to feed delivery insights into the product roadmap so that implementation friction, customer difficulties, and regulatory requirements directly advise platform evolution. Collaborate with People & Culture to define delivery competencies, career pathways, and a global talent acquisition strategy that attracts diverse capabilities. Represent Evinova externally as a recognised voice on delivery excellence in digital clinical development at industry events, advisory boards, and regulatory forums.
Essential Skills/Experience
• 15+ years of progressive experience in delivery leadership within a global health-tech, eClinical SaaS, or life sciences professional services organisation, with a demonstrable track record of operating at C-suite or equivalent VP level.
• Proven P&L ownership experience: budgeting, forecasting, margin management, and financial reporting for a professional services or delivery function of material scale.
• Deep expertise in GxP-regulated software delivery: hands-on experience with 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, Computer System Validation (CSV), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP / ICH E6) as they apply to SaaS and eClinical platform deployments.
• Demonstrated experience leading and scaling a global delivery or professional services organisation of 50+ professionals across multiple geographies and time zones.
• Proven ability to design and operate high-velocity, scalable delivery models (implementation factory, standardised playbooks, automation-enabled delivery) in an enterprise SaaS environment.
• Strong executive presence and outstanding partner management: experience building positive relationships with C-suite and VP-level contacts at large pharma, CROs, and biotech organisations.
• Experience driving operational transformation — materially improving delivery capacity, reducing time-to-value, and improving quality through process innovation, tooling, and automation.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) with the ability to communicate complex delivery, financial, and regulatory topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment; comfortable leading across cultures and building relationships in a remote-first global organisation.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Direct experience with eClinical platforms is highly valued. Professional certifications such as PMP (PMI), PRINCE2, MSP or Agile/SAFe credentials will strengthen your profile. Knowledge of CDISC standards (CDASH, SDTM) and their implications for clinical data delivery is beneficial. Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma or similar operational excellence methodologies within professional services or delivery organisations will be an advantage. Exposure to high-growth environments such as venture-backed or corporate spin-out health-tech businesses will help in navigating Evinova’s rapid scale-up journey!
