About Human Agency

We're scaling rapidly and have a growing pipeline of opportunities that demand exceptional talent across disciplines. Our mission is to bring on individuals, from creative producers to technical experts to entrepreneurial leaders, who can help us realize this next chapter of growth.

We are a company of doers. Leaders roll up their sleeves, teams work flat, and everyone contributes to what ships. Titles don't insulate us from feedback or basics. We invite critique, learn quickly, and keep raising the bar. The best ideas win here, no matter where they come from, because clients trust us to deliver the strongest outcomes every time.

Our clients' missions, products, and bottom lines are sacred. We immerse ourselves in their world, becoming stewards of their goals and partners in solving big problems. Every product, strategy, or asset we create must be both beautiful and functional; practical, usable, and designed for real-world impact.

Humans are our most valuable resource, and we only grow by hiring people who push us forward. Across strategy, engineering, design, data, and operations, we seek out teammates who raise the bar and make us better. Always hire up, never down.

We partner with organizations of all sizes to explore, design, and implement AI strategies that are secure, scalable, and human-centered. We believe AI should amplify human potential, not replace it, and we build with that conviction in every engagement. From advisory and tooling to implementation and education, we meet clients where they are and help them integrate AI in ways that align with their mission and values. Our goal is to empower teams to work smarter, move faster, and unlock new possibilities through thoughtful, responsible innovation.

And through it all, we lead with purpose, love, and adventure. We do meaningful work with people we care about, and we make the ride an adventure worth taking. Because at Human Agency, who we are and how we work are one and the same.

The Opportunity

This is not a content manager role. This is a reputation architect position. Your singular job is to make Human Agency's leadership — starting with the CEO — the most credible, most sought-after voices on humanistic AI in the country. When someone asks "who should speak at our conference about AI?" or "who understands how to implement AI responsibly?" — our names come up first.

We have the ideas, the track record, and the mission. What we need is someone who can turn internal conversations into national visibility. Someone who can get us on stages, in publications, and in rooms that matter. Someone who understands that thought leadership isn't about producing more content — it's about engineering credibility and building influence strategically.

The end game is paid speaking engagements at major conferences, award recognition, book deals, and becoming the go-to source when media needs expert commentary on humanistic AI. You'll be building the infrastructure and executing the strategy to make that real.

What You'll Own

Thought Leadership Strategy & Execution

You'll design and run the complete playbook for elevating Human Agency's principals as national voices. This means identifying the right platforms, publications, stages, and partnerships that build real credibility — not vanity metrics.

Content Production & Ghostwriting

You'll turn internal insights, client work, and leadership conversations into polished, high-impact content across formats: LinkedIn posts, long-form essays, Substack newsletters, op-eds, and media contributions. You write in our voice, or you help us sharpen ours.

Speaking Circuit Development

You'll get leadership booked for keynotes, panels, and corporate speaking engagements. That means building relationships with conference organizers, identifying the right opportunities, managing submissions, and eventually securing paid speaking gigs.

Media Relations & Placements

You'll pitch stories, build media relationships, and get our leadership quoted, published, and featured in the outlets that matter. You know how to make a journalist care about what we have to say.

Awards, Recognition & Book Development

You'll manage award submissions, build narratives for recognition programs, and develop the foundation for a book proposal. You understand how these credentials compound over time.

Human Union Narrative Alignment

You'll help shape the public story around our nonprofit initiative, Human Union / Tom Sawyer, ensuring it strengthens our mission-driven credibility and reinforces our position as leaders in humanistic AI.

AI-Powered Production at Scale

You'll use AI tools to produce at ten times the speed of a traditional content team. You're not replacing craft with automation — you're using AI to unlock velocity, quality, and iteration speed that wouldn't otherwise be possible.

Who You Are

Experience & Skills

  • You've built thought leadership platforms for executives, founders, or public figures before — and you can point to measurable outcomes like speaking engagements, media placements, or book deals that resulted.
  • You're an exceptional writer and editor who can match voice, clarify ideas, and produce polished work across formats — from social posts to long-form essays to pitch decks.
  • You have real PR and media instincts — you know how to craft a pitch, build relationships with journalists and editors, and get people placed in the right outlets at the right time.
  • You've managed the speaker circuit before — you know how to identify opportunities, handle submissions, negotiate terms, and get people on stage at conferences that matter.
  • You're fluent in AI tools and use them to produce faster, iterate smarter, and work at a scale that traditional content teams can't match. You see AI as an amplifier, not a crutch.
  • You understand the difference between content marketing and thought leadership — one drives leads, the other builds credibility and influence. You're here to do the latter.

Mindset & Traits

  • You're a builder, not a manager. You don't wait for permission or perfect conditions — you see the path and you execute. You create momentum where there was none.
  • You believe deeply in humanistic AI — the idea that technology should expand human potential, not replace it. This mission matters to you, and it shows in your work.
  • You have editorial judgment and taste. You know what's worth saying and what isn't. You can tell the difference between insight and noise, and you push back when something isn't ready.
  • You're comfortable operating with autonomy and ambiguity. You don't need a roadmap handed to you — you build the roadmap, get feedback, and refine as you go.
  • You're relentlessly resourceful. If there's a door that needs opening, you find a way in. If there's a platform we should be on, you figure out how to get us there.
  • You have high standards for yourself and others. You know when something is good enough to ship and when it needs another pass. You care about craft, precision, and impact.

Equal Opportunity Commitment
