The role:
Apply today to lead the Support Services Division as our chief administrative officer! In this executive role, you will set strategic direction, shape division policy, and ensure the right resources and infrastructure are in place to support our agency’s mission. The division includes our Facilities Branch, Human Resources Branch, Information Systems Branch, Procurement Office, Office of Employee Safety, and Data Solutions Office. This role plays a key part in building a fiscally sound, innovative division and fostering strong collaboration across our agency, other agencies and jurisdictions.

A day in the life:
Set vision, direct and provide leadership to the six branch managers and 300+ employees in our Support Services Division.
Oversee state and federal legislative, administrative and financial activities impacting division programs, and manage department-wide projects.
Define the division's structure and objectives, ensuring clear lines of communication across the sections, removing barriers and encouraging continuous improvement and collaboration.
Manage the division’s budget and direct and approve biennial budget requests.
Guide managers in establishing goals, developing plans and monitoring progress for their areas.
Review and approve major program and operating plans to ensure alignment with branch, department and legislative objectives.
Monitor and evaluate division performance, provide regular reports to the deputy director and implement process and system improvements.
Serve as a member of the Agency Leadership Team (ALT) in setting and implementing agencywide priorities and policies, including taking ownership for helping achieve agencywide goals in the Strategic Action Plan.
Advise and counsel the deputy director and others as appropriate on administrative, financial and organizational matters.
Serve on key internal committees and represent our agency with external partners and on national boards, conferences and other events.
Work in an office environment with hybrid work options available – frequency will be determined between the hiring manager and successful candidate.
Occasional travel is required, including possible overnight travel for meetings.

The salary range listed is the non-PERS monthly salary range. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible, the salary range will increase by 6.95%.

Minimum qualifications:
Seven years of management experience in business operations;
OR
Four years of management experience in business operations and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
