SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Jotun is expanding rapidly in Indonesia and seeking a dynamic professional to strengthen Factory Operations department as Chemist at Powder Coatings site.
The successful candidate will make formulations available for production with specific and optimised process parameters in Powder.

This position will be based in Legok, Tangerang, and report directly to Chemist Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Make formulations available for products with specific and optimised process parameters.

• Update and change formulations as required by Group R&D

• Support and coach production operators with process optimisation on a daily basis

• Optimise recipes to maintain competitiveness in the local market within the framework set by regional and global R&D

• Give technical support and cooperate closely with maintenance

• Investigate product complaints, follow-up process and quality deviations

• Describe the local production process for sustainable training of operators and deliver the session

• Evaluate the need for improvements

• Provide compliance documents in accordance with various standards and directives like IOS MAT, REACH, ROHS, food contact, etc.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Science, Biochemistry, or Industrial Engineering
• Analytical and problem-solving skill
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly

Preferred

• Fluent in English
• Having experience in the same industry will be advantages
• In-depth knowledge of analytical laboratory instrument and activity
