Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Various outside weather conditions, Will work with hazardous/toxic materials

Compensation: $21.55/hr
Shift: 2nd shift (Mon - Fri)
Shift Differential: $0.50/hr

Discover Impactful Work:

The Chemical Packager is responsible for weighing, filling, labeling, sealing and other packaging operations as well as general warehouse duties relating to packaging materials such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping packaging materials in order.

A day in the Life:

  • Weighing, filling, labeling, sealing and other packaging operations for various bottle sizes
  • General warehouse duties relating to packaging materials such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping packaging materials in order.
  • Transport bulk material, bottles, caps and supplies to filling location.
  • Complete necessary information for recordkeeping.
  • Set up scale, checks bottle size, sets up containers to be filled.
  • Responsible for working safely and for producing quality products.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Preferred: Work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Candidates who are committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Worker must be capable of operating powered industrial trucks, forklift operator experience is helpful

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Ability to work alternately in a seated or standing position is required

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $14.63–$21.80.
