Chemical Lab Technician 2nd Period

We are currently seeking applicants for a Chemical Lab Technician 2nd Period in the Chemical Lab of our Power Production division located at our Thomas Hill Energy Center. 

What You'll Do:

• Collects, prepares, and analyzes coal samples, water samples, chemical samples, and samples of other materials used in the operation of the power plant.
• Operates equipment in the laboratory including, but not limited to, sample preparation equipment, laboratory balances, coal analysis equipment, water analysis equipment, and spectrophotometer.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance and calibration on water and gas monitoring equipment.
• Adjusts and operates chemical feeding and demineralizing equipment.

What You Need:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have successfully completed (C average or higher) eight semester hours of college level chemistry and four semester hours of college algebra or higher math.
• Previous laboratory experience will be considered and is preferred.
