About the role

Come work in our busy production kitchen, a cook fresh facility producing 60,000+ meals each month.  Be part of our dedicated team of 40 kitchen staff working together to produce high quality meals for patients.

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to dietary requirements and recipes

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict hygiene standards

• Create and test new recipes, contributing to menu development

• Manage food inventory and ensure proper storage

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Report to the Kitchen Supervisor, with them reporting to the Head Chef

About you

• Commercial Cookery certificate III

• 2+ years’ experience in large volume food production in a kitchen production unit

• An understanding of typical food production requirements in a regulated environment

• Sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a commercial kitchen environment

• A team player experienced in working in fast-paced environments

We would ideally like a Senior Chef with a strong background in bulk cooking, who is passionate about delivering high-quality meals in high-volume settings. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) protocols, ensuring food safety and a safe working environment at all times.

This role is ideal for someone who is not only confident in managing large-scale kitchen operations but also eager to take the next step in their career. We are looking for a professional who shows initiative, has excellent leadership skills, and is willing to grow into a supervisory role in the near future.
