Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is currently looking for a talented Chef de Rang to join our Team for the Summer 2026 season. This role offers the opportunity to be part of an exceptional fine‑dining experience at Il Palagio, our Michelin‑starred restaurant, where genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and personalized service define every guest interaction.

About the role: 

The Chef de Rang provides exceptional quality and service to Il Palagio guests. In this role, you will be tasked with providing an expertly served beverage or dining experience; anticipating the guests’ needs and as an expert on the menu options; and delivering memorable guest experiences.

 

What you will do: 

Provide an enjoyable, expertly served beverage or dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. 

Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item. 

Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. 

Prepare and present bills accurately and perform all duties related to restaurant closing shifts. 

Greet and seat guests in a professional manner and take reservations conforming to Four Seasons standards. 

Assist in setting and clearing tables neatly, rapidly and completely according to specification. 

Assist in the breakdown, cleaning and set-up of buffets and food stations.  

 

What you bring:  

  • An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task 

  • High level of understanding and knowledge of food and wine  

  • 2 Years experience in food service experience. Luxury Resort and Hotel and Michelin-starred experience is considered an asset 

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language.

Schedule & Hours:

Full time and seasonal contract. The position requires working in shifts and will primarily involve dinner service at our Michelin-starred restaurant.

Successful candidates must hold legal work authorization to work in Italy at the time of application.
