See Ya Later Ranch is located in Okanagan Falls “The Heart of Wine Country”. One of the oldest and largest estate wineries in the Okanagan, we are considered a must for most visitors to the valley. We are proud to be a member of the Great Estates Okanagan, featuring premium, award winning VQA wines in the south Okanagan.
POSITION: Chef de Partie - PATIO RESTAURANT & Events
LOCATION: SEE YA LATER RANCH, Okanagan Falls, BC
STATUS: SEASONAL HOURLY CONTRACT (May to October)
COMPENSATION: $23/hr
THE OPPORTUNITY
As the See Ya Later Ranch Chef de Partie, you help create the dining experience our guests remember. From the moment they arrive, you can be part of creating lasting memories with exceptional food to complement our award-winning wine.
DAILY LIFE
- Work as a part of a team to prepare and execute daily lunch service and private events
- Coordinate daily tasks with Winery Chef and/or Sous Chef
- Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment
- Ensure that the preparation, production, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality.
- Receiving food deliveries.
- Daily opening, closing and cleaning duties as requested by our Winery Chef and/or Sous Chef;
A prepared team and clean restaurant are essential for positive guest experiences!
REQUIREMENTS
- Courteous, friendly, professional attitude – demonstrated Emotional Intelligence
- Detail oriented, multitasking ability and strong work ethic required – both individually and in a team
- Minimum two years’ experience working in a kitchen with desire to become more proficient
- Food Safe & WHIMIS are assets, although training can be provided
- Able to lift 40lbs, work in hot summer temperatures & stand for long periods of time
- Able to work weekends throughout the season and evenings for weddings and other events.
